An Arkansas woman says she has filed a lawsuit against the owner of a pet cleaning business for alleged dog bite injuries she sustained.
Jodi Baugh said she was cleaning her dog, a black Lab, when a white Lab with a long black nose attacked her, causing scratches to her legs and torso.
She said she left the dog alone for a few minutes and was unable to get back in the house.
A few days later, the dog attacked her again, leaving scratches on her legs, her car and a neighbor’s yard, according to a civil complaint filed in the U.S. District Court in Arkansas.
Baugh, a licensed nurse and veterinarian, said the dog was named “Geezer” and the dog owner, Joe Karp, is a licensed pet groomer.
Karp has denied the allegations, saying that he and Baugh had an ongoing relationship and the two were “not a pack of hounds.”
The owner of the business, Joe R. “Goozer” Karp of North Little Rock, did not return calls for comment.
