A man has been arrested after allegedly spitting in the face of a cyclist in a Perth court.
The 27-year-old man was arrested in the city’s south-west at around 11.30am yesterday after being accused of allegedly spitting on a cyclist, who is not his partner.
A court heard the man spit in the man’s face, before the woman called for assistance.
Police were called to the area of the RSL Centre at King George Avenue, Eastwood, about 10:30am.
A 27-yr-old woman was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and public nuisance.
The man was also taken to Perth Hospital.
The woman told police the man spat on her face and on the side of her head and the court heard he also threw a water bottle at her.
The court heard she had not suffered any injuries.
